Now, a little about me

I’ve had a passion for design since high school. Something clicked when I was taking graphic design courses, and suddenly I found a way to use art in a more thoughtful and purposeful way. Since then, I’ve found ways to infuse my personal passions with the skills I’ve learned from my career and vice versa.

Finding the balance

Over the course of my career, I’ve found a place where my career and my passions can meet. It’s a delicate balance, but what I’ve found is that often the best designed websites or campaigns hold a personal touch of the designer. I’ve worked on a creative team in a corporate setting for much of my career and I’ve found that it can be difficult to find avenues in which to add your own personal touch when confined by the limits of a strict brand image. Pushing the envelope just enough often leads to bold decisions, but they’re often the ones that end up making the most impact.

My passions

When I’m not on the job, I have several hobbies that I’ve grown to be passionate about over the years. Namely, I love tabletop games. I use my graphic design skills to bring my world to life with custom designed maps and flags. I’ve also found a recent love for photography during my travels.

My Career

Throughout my career, I’ve enjoyed thinking outside the box. Forming visual identities for promotional campaigns is a space I’ve thrived in. I also enjoy the problem-solving aspect of UX design. Tackling difficult projects like new website designs is like solving a fulfilling puzzle to ensure the user has the best experience possible.
